Tall case brass dial clock, 1770-1790.

Mahogany tall-case clock. The hood has a molded arch pediment with a carved solid fret, three brass ball-and-spire finials on fluted plinths, free-standing fluted columns at the front corners and a glazed door with an astragal top. Waist with cove molding at the top, chamfered and fluted front corners with gilt decoration, and a case door with an astragal top. Base with cove and ovolo moldings at the top, molded bottom and supported on spurred ogee bracket feet. Engraved dial with roman hour numerals and arabic minute numerals, and a moon phase dial in the lunette. Inside the chapter ring there is a seconds dial and a calendar aperture. Dial is signed "Harland Norwich." Eight day movement.
